What defines Medieval India? Can it be defined? Is the medieval a time period, a state of mind, an attitude, or a point of reference, or all of these? If it is all of these, then Medieval India certainly is an area with potential research possibilities into various aspects of medieval Indian history. Many aspects of medieval Indian history are still almost entirely unresearched, and there is much that has been re-interpreted. An attempt has, therefore, been made in this volume to outline some of the areas of concern to scholars of medieval Indian history, which will further help us understand and appreciate this fascinating era of Indian history.
