Pharmacology is one of the constantly growing disciplines of medical sciences, which principally involves the practice of pharmacy. A pharmacist is expected to play a pivotal role in the dissemination of information related to the drugs. It is essential for the students in this field to be fully aware of the variety of new drugs that become important every year, and also to be able to select significant drugs and make omission of those that are obsolete. This fully revised text complies with the requirement of the latest education regulations of the pharmacy council of India. It has been updated keeping in view the needs of students of pharmacy as well as paramedical courses, physiotherapy and nursing. The text gives information about the principles of pharmacology in concise and simple language, which facilitates easy comprehension. Pharmacology is one of the subjects prescribed in Education Regulations by the Pharmacy Council of India for Diploma Course in pharmacy.
