The Book “Archeology of the Chotanagpur Division (Jharkhand)†is the Thesis of the Author for his Ph.D. Degree, Which was awarded to him from Magadh University Bodhgaya in January 2004. The book is unique for its salient features. Though already some scholars have worked in this area, the Author has specially worked in this region, which has been named now Jharkhand State. He has thoroughly and extensively explored this region, the result that has come out in this [resent book from.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dilbar Bhengra
Dr. D. Bhenra was born on 12th November 1949. He was graduated from St. Columbus College, Hazaribagh and did his post graduation from Patna University in Ancient Indian History and Archeology. He joined State Archeology department of Bihar in 1974 and later joined Archeological Survey of India as a deputy Sup. Archeology in 1976. He worked as a Sup. Archeologist in various circles and branches of A.S.I. since 12985. Presently working as Director (prehistory), Prehistory Branch, Nagpur. He did his Ph.D. from Magadh university Bodhgaya in 2004 on the topics “Archeology of the chotanagpur Division (Jharkhand)†(from the earliest time to 12th century AD). He has participated in many archeological conferences and seminars and presented research papers, besides published article in the Felicitation Volume published in honour of Shri Jagat Pati Joshi, former Director general of Archeological Survey of India.
