Based on his investigations from 1924 to 1928 in Pali-Abhidhamma and specially on his studies in the Abhidhammattha-Sangaha, this book furnishes the reader with an introduction in the early Buddhist concept of consciousness, being the foundation of Buddhist meditational approach as well as of the psychological attitude leading to the realization of the ultimate goal.
