This book attempts to assess and analyse Nehru’s achievements and its relevance in the present day situation (Nehru laid the ideological foundation and framework for modern India). He was not only the builder of modern India, but was also the best spokesman of the Third World. It is, therefore in the fitness of things that while we continue to discuss and debate the on-going problems facing India we should go back to. Nehru and review his ideas and remember his contribution.
