Udayana: New Horizons in History, Classics and Inter-Cultural Studies

Udayana the present festschrift, is a gift to an esteemed scholar of ancient Greek and Indian history. It has been prepared in the honour by a host of renowned historian and budding scholars who immensely appreciate the contribution of professor Udal Prakash Arora, his vast scholarship and his graceful personality. Professor U.P. Arora is a pioneer scholar of the Graeco-Indian studies, and hence, the felicitation volume maintains an inclination towards the Greek interlude in Indian history, the Graeco-Indian interaction, and India in the world context. The Fifth Part of the volume, ‘Religion, Society, Art and Archaeology’ have excellent articles on the specialized themes like archaeology, art, architecture, numismatics etc. The Sixth Part comprises of learned papers written in Hindi language, which not only possess merit in historical content but also in literary merit.
