Industrial and organizational psychology (or 1/O psychology) is a U.S. term. The same discipline is also known as work psychology Industrial and organizational psychology is the study of the behaviour of people in the workplace. Industrial and organizational psychology applies psychological knowledge and methods to aid workers and organizations. Industrial and organizational psychology is a diverse field incorporating aspects of disciplines such as clinical psychology, social psychology, and psychometric as well as less closely linked social studies such as law.
