Industrial Location and Regional Development in Backward Areas

This book establishes the relationship between industrial location and regional development. It is observes that industrial development are very elastic and stronger then that of agricultural and infrastuctural developments.  Industrialization has come to be regarded as synonymous with economic development and the distinction between the two terms is most often lost.  Industrialization is accepted as most predominant component of development strategies, because industrialization is more powerful innovation with dynamism and brings about lasting increase in productivity of labour.
