Financial Institutions and Small Scale Sector

In the present book a study has been made with a view to draw certain broad conclusions in respect of various operational parameters on the "Financial Institutions and Small Scale Sector". The entire study is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the subject and research problems with a brief outline of the objective and methodology. The second chapter outlines various types of definitions in international and national context. In the third chapter the study has been made on various policy measures announced over the period of time for the development of SSI. The fourth chapter provides a clear picture of role of industrial promotional institutions in the development of small scale industries at the centre as well as at the state level. The fifth chapter comprises about the field survey to determine the problems and prospects of SSI in undivided Cuttack district. The chapter six contains summary of major findings of the study, testing of hypotheses and a few recommendations. At last gives the bibliography and a set of questionnaire served to the entrepreneurs to carry out the research work, thus concluding the study. Efforts have been made to make this study a simple and short piece of work with a view to making it a source of further study for experts in future.
