Child Development and Psychology

Child psychology has expanded at an accelerating pace in the last decades. As a result of this rapid-growth, it is increasingly difficult to offer a comprehensive definition of child psychology. We have chosen instead to present a series of examples from the wide range of research activities that are subsumed under the child psychology label. Unlike earlier approaches, contemporary child psychology is no longer only a description of psychology is no longer only a description of age-related changes; rather, it is concerned with the processes that produce and account for these changes.
