The purpose of this book is to stress the importance of this life process and to show, as the practical experiences of the author have also shown, that the farm or garden must be considered as a biological organic unit, rather as a series of unconnected processes. When the farm or garden is operated on this basis, it will be seen that which is biologically correct is also economically the most profitable. The book also purposes to show how the biological unity of the farm may be achieved and developed. Its contents are based on the author’s own experiences of many years in dealing with the problems of his own farms, as well as with those of hundreds of other farms and gardens in practically all countries of Europe. The author has also studied farming conditions in North America, Egypt, and Palestine. Thus the author believes that he has been able to arrive at a comprehensive judgement of the possibilities of a method of agriculture which has become known as the Bio-dynamic method.
