Toni Morrison is one of the foremost 20th century African-American women novelists. In 1993, she was awarded the Nobel Prize for her outstanding contribution to literature. She is best known for discussing in her fiction the issues of gender, class and race. The present book highlights the theme of feminist consciousness in all her novels. It makes a valuable contribution to the corpus of American literature, feminist studies and sociology.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sandeep Pathak
Sandeep Pathak is Reader in English at IT and Management College, Subhash Academy, Chhibramau, Kannauj. Earlier he taught at PPN Degree College, Kanpur, and PSIT, Kanpur. He has had a brilliant academic career and obtained Ph.D. degree from CSJM University, Kanpur. His expertise is in Black literature, especially in gender studies. Currently, he is engaged in a research study devoted exclusively to Toni Morrison’s classic novel Sula.
