This book is an in-depth study on human development and deprivation in Meghalaya. Specialty of the book lies in filling the gap through construction of human development indices at the districts level for the state of Meghalaya for the year 2005-06 based on, among other things, collected primary data when Planning Commission of India has made no such attempt for the state including other small states in India after 1991.
