Educated Unemployed: Problem, Policy and Measures to Generate Employment

The state-level economy is at cross-roads, as employment growth has not been able to keep pace with the rapid economic development, especially the burgeoning educated unemployed in the state. Keeping this in view, the various social, and economic aspects of the educated unemployed in rural areas have been analysed in this book. Not only has the author discussed the factors responsible for this state of affairs, but measures to greater employment have been analysed. Employment generation interventions exclusive to the state of Punjab have been duly taken into consideration in this book. Both primary and secondary data sources have been used to visualise and enhance the various aspects of the educated unemployed in rural areas.
