The MRPC is a pioneering organisation in the field of mustard-based research and aims at creating widespread awareness about the virtues of rapeseed-mustard and mustard-based products, specially mustard oil. The organisation also focuses on actively promoting this valuable indigenous product and carrying our meaningful research aimed at upgrading varieties, conducting regular fatty acid-related studies and demographic surveys, improving the commercial processes involved and shattering prevalent myths and misconceptions about mustard. The MRPC functions under the stewardship of prominent agricultural experts, oil technologists, nutrition experts and specialists from the mustard industry. Its executive functions are looked after by the Executive Secretary while a group of distinguished experts constitute the MRPC’s panelists, advising the Governing Body on various technical matters.
