ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sunita Sharma

Dr. Sunita Sharma, M.A., M.Ed., Ph.D., is Reader in Education, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. Study and education of Special Need Children are central to her life, both professionally and personally. She has authored a book Understanding and Educating Blind and has contributed over 14 research papers and articles in the journals of repute. She has been conferred on the National Award for the Welfare of the Handicapped in 1989 by the President of India. Despite her orthopedic disability Dr. Sharma has been engaged in corporate life of the University and has attended several national and international seminars, workshops and symposia. She is life member of AIATE, IAAP, Indian National Portage Association, Indian Psychometric and Educational Research Association etc.
