The book seeks to be a compendium chronicling the lives and profiles of the people who gave the country its along cherished dream of obtaining independence from the colonial British rulers. Their efforts bore fruit, when on August 15, 1947, the Indian nation established it sovereign rule, though many of them did not live to see the day. Attempting to recreate the patriotic fervour of the pre-independence era, this book would hopefully be immensely enlightening to the reader interested in Indian history and re-instill immense pride for the nation.
