The first chapter deals with the problems to be investigated and presents a brief review of the present state of knowledge. The second chapter deals with the problem of population pressure and urbanisation in the developing countries. The third chapter deals with economics of international labour migration and national migration policies. The fourth chapter deals with the changing scenario of the global labour migration. The fifth chapter is devoted to immigration in the United States. The sixth chapter deals with the international migration of labour in post-war Europe. The seventh chapter is mainly concerned with migration of labour for employment in the Third World. The last chapter (eight) is concerned with policy implications. Overall the book is our humble contribution to the existing literature on the subject.
