ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ashis Datta
Dr. Ashis Datta, is D.M.S. from Council of Homoeopathic Medicine, West Bengal, M.D. (Horn.) in Homoeopathic Philosophy from Dr. B.A. Marathwada University, Aurangabad, P.G.R. (Post Graduate in Rehabilitation) from All India Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, (Govt. of India), Mumbai. He has also undergone training courses in "Hospital Administration" and "Stress Management" from National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, (Govt. of India), New Delhi. He had been attached to the Teaching Faculty in the subject of Organon of Medicine and Homoeopathic Philosophy for a long time in Maharashtra at Khamgaon, Amravati and finally at Nagpur and was approved by Nagpur University. Presently he is holding the post of Assistant Secretary (Technical) in Central Council of Homoeopathy (Govt. of India), having great responsibility for the profession as well as in the field of Homoeopathic Education. Dr. Datta is also approved Guide at Post Graduate level in the specialty of Homoeopathic Philosophy for University of Pune, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Bharti Vidyapeeth University, Pune and Dr. B. R. A. University, Agra. On feeling the crisis of literature on History of Homoeopathy in India he drafted a book on behalf of Central Council of Homoeopathy, which was published as 'A Profile' in the name of Central Council of Homoeopathy to mark it's Silver Jubilee Year Celebration, released in the hand of His Excellency, the than Vice-President of India, Sri Krishan Kant Ji, in December 1998. He is also a Member of Board of studies in Homoeopathy in Kumaon University, Nainital and had been in Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla Vishvidyalaya, Barkatulla Vishvidyalaya and Sardar Patel University in the similar capacity. He is the recipient of 'Appreciation Award' from Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine (Govt. of NCT of Delhi) for his brilliant contribution towards development and propagation of Homoeopathy.
