ABOUT THE AUTHOR V. Sivaramakrishnan

V. Sivaramakrishnan M.A., Indian Economic Service (Tetd.), was the Associate Editor of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's 'Bhavan’s Journal' during 1983-2000.  His association with the 'Journal' began much earlier, and the wrote for it, almost without interruption, for over two decades, articles, short stories, plays, skits and book reviews.  He ran a column under the title 'Here and There' for six years.  The Bhavan published three of his books viz.  'The African Mind', 'Kanchi Mahasvami on Poets and Poetry' and 'Shyam's Mother' besides prescribing his compilation 'The Cultural Heritage of India' for its students.  From 2001 to 2004 he was closely associated with the 'Encyclopedia of Hinduism' sponsored by the India Heritage Research Foundation, Rishikesh.  He writes for a cultural journal, 'Dilip', published from Mumbai.
