History bears witness that the non-Muslim population of India was always in contact with their Muslim brethren, and the process of religious, moral and cultural exchange among them was regularly functioning from the advent of Muslims in India till today. This contact led them to study the concept and contents of the Quran from different angels. It is interesting that the majority of the non-Muslim Indian scholars of the Quran was not only influenced profusely with the Qurnanic ideology but they have attempted also to clear the misconceptions and allegations regarding some of the Quranic statements. Their immense interest and practical involvement in the Quranic learning appeared in the form of its translation into various Indian languages, research articles, extensive discussion and even the books directly written on the Quran. This study, being the original attempt on this topic, serves a very honest purpose by bringing the efforts of non Muslim Indian scholars of the Quran together, followed by analytical and critical review of the same as well. Through this book their recognition about the Quran as well as positive thought can be projected before the society which will be certainly helpful in developing harmonious atmosphere of mutual understanding and integrity. This study includes only those works to deal with, which have been produced with the pure and pious motives, and the works produced only for the polemics have been avoided.
