This book is an English rendering of a popular Arabic book entitled Adab Al-Qadi written by the renowned Muslim Jurist Imam Khassaf. In this book the learned author has favoured us with the basic principles of the Islamic Judicial system and that of the Judiciary in the light of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah. The learned translator of this book Justice Dr Muneer Ahmad Mughal is himself a Judge of the Lahore High Court, Lahore. He has perfect hold on the subject as well as over both the languages, the one translated from and the other translated into. The translation is therefore reliable and close to the original. This book has been rendered into English for the benefit of those English-knowing people who are anxious to know about the Judicial System of Islam. We hope, it will serve he purpose for which it has been translated.
