Movement of people has been an essential ingredient of economic development of the world. With liberalization sweeping countries, labor-abundant countries are sending more and more skilled workers to labor-short economies. Hence, the impact of such movement both for the home and the host countries necessitates detailed examination. This volume fills that gap through relevant articles in a synchronized format. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Asis Kumar Pain
Asis Kumar Pain holds M.Phil and PhD degrees in Economics from The University of Burdwan, West Bengal. He is currently working as Consulting Editor at Icfai Business School Research Centre, Kolkata. Prior to joining Icfai, he worked on various transport related projects at the Centre for Transport Studies, Jadavpur University. He regularly contributes research papers to various refereed journals. Some of them include Indian Journal of Transport Management (Central Institute of Road Transport), Nagarlok (Indian Institute of Public Administration) and Icfai Journal of Management Research. His research area of interest is travel demand estimation using hierarchical modelling techniques.

Rajarshi Ghosh is an M.A. in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and an MBA in Finance from Centre for Management Development, Modinagar. He has a decade of experience in the higher echelons of Industry and Academics, and was Team Leader in the Research Centre, ICFAI Business School, Kolkata. He has thorough industry exposure on the various areas of Finance, supplemented by active research in the same domain. This has been coupled with research in wide-ranging areas of Economics, which include Labor Economics and Development Economics. He has an active interest in the problems of the contemporary world.
