In this study, we have given an emphasis on the influence of social and situational factors on the biological and psychological conditions of senior citizen, and their role in family, society and politics. This title has been classified in six comprehensive chapters including bibliography. First chapter focus on process, prospect and population of senior citizen. Social stratification and problem of social adjustment has been discussed in the second chapter however third chapter deals with the people perception and approach toward senior citizen. Fourth chapter gives an emphasis on behaviour and attitude toward elderly people. Individual aspects of the retiree’s life has been described in the fifth chapter and psycho-social problems of rural aged people in India is described in the last chapter of the book.
