International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)

There were great men through the ages. A.C. Bhaktivedanta (1896-1977) better known as Swami Prabhupada was one such noble saint. He founded this religious movement in the United States in 1966. In order to achieve peace and happiness believers are urged to return to their original relationship with Krishna. They prohibit gambling, intoxication, meat eating and illicit sex. ISKCON is doing great service to humanity by its elaborate organization, teachings and temples all over the world. Aim of this book is to make available to our readers some basic important and innovative aspects of this profound society for spreading peace and happiness to our terror-stricken modern civilization.
