Taittiriya Samhita, the Veda of the Black Yajus School, is mainly a work on the sacrificial rituals of the Aryans. Evidently it supports the existence of the elaborate sacrificial system as early as the Samhita age. it is the only work in the Samhita literature which expounds in details the system of the new and full moon, Soma, Vajapeya, Rajasuya, Asvamedha and various sattras.
