This book deals with the history of Art embracing two great successive periods-oriental and classical. the oriental comprises egyptian, Chaldaean, Aegean, Assyrian Art and the Art of smaller nations like the Hittites, lonians, Phoenicians, Israelites and the Persian Art and the classical period with Greek, Etruscan, Roman plus two other branches of oriental Art viz. ancient Indian Art and Persian Art of the Sassanids.
