The book is a timely discussion into the influence and contribution of Sri Lankan artists to not only old Ceylon and post colonial Sri Lanka, but to that of the whole world. Timely, because a post conflict Sri Lanka is a place of new beginnings and what better way now, through ‘the power of Sri Lankan art’ than to reclaim and establish our contribution to the history’s artistic movements.
