A student of economics, politics and law, Vasant Sathe initially practised at the Nagpur High Court. He started his active political career as a member of the youth Congress with the Quit India Movement of 1942, spearheaded by Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and other great leaders of the time.
