A Handbook of Teaching and Teachers: Recruitment and Training

The problem of training teachers and their recruitment has been engaging the attention of the educational planners administrators and the political leadership for quite some time, especially in the developing world. Teachers were recruited from certain established classes and the issue of providing them with certain teaching skills received attention from the bureaucracy. Now with the adoption of compulsory and free education for all has necessitated the need for recruiting teachers on a longer scale and providing them teaching skills during the training. This handbook discusses these issues in greater depth and has tried to provide some guidelines for training teachers with the help of the educational technology.
