ABOUT THE AUTHOR N.K. Sahu
Naba Krushna Sahu (b. 1958), joined the Indian economics service in 1985. Since then he has worked as a professional economist in several ministries of the Government of India including Agriculture, Small and Rural Industries, Statistics and Programme Implementation and Tribal Affairs. Presently he is working as a Director in the Ministry of Rural Development. He has done masters degree in economics from Sambalpur University, Rural Social development from University of reading, UK and Mphil in regional development from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His PhD thesis is on’ Analysis of Forced Commerce in India Agriculture’ (unpublished). He loves to travel and interaction with people, specially the socially disadvantage. He also has keen interest in folk culture and indigenous knowledge systems. This is his first attempt to write a full book.
