The book is the first ever full length critical study of an important but, neglected writer, James H. Cousins. Obviously a labour of great love and devotion, the book analyses Cousins, poems, plays, and prose writings with discernible critical acumen and also offers some samples of his letters and interviews. And the exhaustive bibliography is bound to be of immense help to further researchers in the area. Written in a simple, lucid and forceful style, this book on Cousins is sure to prove a trend-setter and inspire our aspiring research scholars to attempt similar works on some of the other significant but hitherto ignored anglo-Indian writers.
