Advances in Agroforestry

This book is a result of painstaking collection of and collation of the scientific data that exist in numerous journals, periodicals and a few books for a number of years. The book has attempted to depict a connected picture of agroforestry as a separate scientific discipline, though applied in nature. The book has been divided into twenty-one chapters including silvicultural aspect of selected tree species that are apparently suitable for mixture in the agricultural system. These chapters cover a very wide range of subjects which are connected with the agroforestry. At the end of each chapter, reference to the literature has been given. The value of the book has been enhanced by the inclusion of a large numbers of illustrations, flowcharts, beautiful photographs etc. The book will be useful both as a text book for the students of the agroforestry as well as a compendium of the foresters and scientists. The prose is quite simple and readable without any ambiguity in meaning.
