ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rajan Kumar Gupta
Dr. Ranjan Kumar Gupta (b. 1963) Obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree from Banaras Hindu University and worked on Ecophysiology at Antarctic Cyanobacteria for his Ph.D. degree. Since past fifteen years he has been working on Antarctic cyanobacteria. Presently Dr. Gupta is working as Reader in Department of Botany, Govt. P.G. College, Rishikesh (Dehradun), Uttaranchal.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Vidya Dhar Pandey
Dr. Vidya Dhar Pandey obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from Banaras Hindu University, M.Phil from the Jawaharlal Nehru University and Ph.D. from Kumaun University. His research interest includes cyanobacterial bioactive compounds and bioactivities, stress physiology and bioremediation. He has contributed several articles to books, and published papers in national and international journals. Dr. Pandey has presented papers in many national and international conferences. He holds the membership of several academic societies. His methodology of teaching, largely based on analogies and interdisciplinary approach, generates overwhelming interest among students. With over eight years of teaching, and research experience. Dr. Pandey is currently working as a senior lecturer in Botany in Government P.G. College, Rishikesh, Uttaranchal.
