Advances in Soil and Water Resource Management for Food and Livelihood Security in Changing Climate

The book deals with the way to achieve a revolution leading to an increase in productivity in perpetuity without associated ecological harm. Based on an international conference organised in February 2015 to address issues and challenges ahead, it discusses developing and protecting the natural resources relating to soil and water that affect uplift of rural people: food security and livelihood security and improving quality of life in the context of a changing climate. The research articles by academics, scientists, extension workers and policy-makers are on natural resource management practices and strategies for sustainable production in Central India. They deal with soil conservation management practices or fragile ecosystems of North-east India, integrated watershed management for run-off farming, industrial waste water for wasteland development and use of information technology for land capability classification and soil water conservation practices for watershed.
