Ageing is a natural and universal phenomenon as it is experienced by all the societies in all generations and all countries but its magnitude and manifestations are not the same everywhere. The present report on ageing in Meghalaya, apprises the magnitude of problems of the elders in the state, their socioeconomic status as well as health and age-related issues and suggests policy recommendations to alleviate their problems. This book will be useful for policy planners, administrators, academics, social activists and NGOs.
