Ambedkarism

Focusing on Ambedkar’s compulsion to renounce Hinduism and allow his faith to draft towards another religion, this book explores his writings sand speeches in three pivotal areas : Social, religious, and political. Dr. Prasad argues that it is the devastating brutalizing character of the caste system which makes for the compelling force of Ambedkar’s writings and is by far the most important explanation of why Ambedkarism has been written. Implicit in Ambedkar’s thought is altogether, that of the incompatibility of the brahmanic outlook with democracy, a thesis sometimes reflecting the elemental hatred of social injustice prevailing among the Hindus.
