An English Index to the Plants of India

the Index is divided into two parts viz Botanical enumeration of species alphabetically listed under genera with all native equivalents. The second part consists of vernacular names listed in two sections under each laphabetical heading. these roughly correspond to linguistic provinces of Indo-Gangetic plains and Himalayas and Deccan Peninsula. It is hoped that the present edition will serve many as a handbook before going into intricacies plants themsleves which not only necessitates research but also expenditure.
