A pronouncing English-Sinhalese Dictionary, available at a price within the reach of all, has been a long-felt want chiefly with the native students of English. The present work is intended to supply this want and thereby encourage the study of the English language, a knowledge of which is now-a-days felt by every one to be both useful and indispensable. This Dictionary, it is hoped, will also be useful to foreign students of the Sinhalese languages.
