The present book "An Introduction to Amphibia" in which complete description of different types of Amphibia has been given. The types have been drawn from all the classis of Amphibia. In order to make the book subjective and informative, the complete and update help of outstanding works of various authors have been taken and we are highly greatful to them. We have tried to prepare the book with all important animals, describing their detailed classification, morphology, anatomy, physiology and embryology. Acute awareness is taken to provide explanatory illustrations to make it possible useful for the graduate and post graduate students of all Indian Universities. Authors hope that the book will be proved to be a boon for the readers, students as well as teachers.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Gurdarshan Singh
Gurdarshan Singh is a Senior-Lecturer in the Department of Zoology, M.M.H. College, Ghaziabad. The college where he is teaching since 1973, had been awarded the prestigious award of “Best College of the State, in the year 1998-99. He has been teaching graduate and post graduate classes, since then and has written a number of other text books on different branches of Zoology. Presently he is engaged in research in the field of Endocrinology.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR H. Bhaskar
H. Bhaskar took his Master's Degree in Zoology in 1998 from M.M.H. (P.G.) College, Ghaziabad, U.P. At present he is teaching in M.M.H. College, Ghaziabad. Now he is involved in research for Ph. D. degree in the field of environmental biology. He has many other books to his credit.
