Noted scholar Janardan Pande, is a social activist, associated with leading NGOs working in the field of education and social upliftment of excluded and marginalized weaker sections, mainly operational in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.  An M.A. (Economics) and MSW from Lucknow University, Mr. Pandey has done extensive empirical studies on many social problems prevalent in rural and tribal belt of the country.His write-ups and columns on social problems are widely appreciated.  This is his major published work.
