The theme deals with the spread of Buddhism and its influence on the people of Nepal and India. Indeed Buddha’s philosophy of life traveled fast in Nepal, India and several other countries of our continent. His disciples who led the life of austerity and utter simplicity inaugurated a chain of monasteries which became the centres of Buddhism. These monasteries attracted several people in Nepal, India and elsewhere. The disciples of Lord Buddha greatly influenced the rulers and the ruled and thus there was a large scale of conversion of people to Buddhism. In fact this process continued for a long time. The volume would be useful for teachers, scholars and students interested in the Philosophy of Buddhism.
