A modern man live in a modest living but he cannot forsake his habit of traveling and hence, his interest of knowing something new. Consequently tourism has developed astronomically throughout the world. For sustainable tourism development the quintessential factor is political stability and peace. If there is no peace and political stability, no beautiful road, efficient communication, air service, health, sanitation, cleanliness and hygienic food, fresh air, water quality, natural and cultural history and manufactured heritage, proper planning and policies carrying capacity can motivate the tourists because the destination is politically disturbed through internal and conventional war. Tourism is motivated by Sunlust (pull) and Wanderlust (pust), also described as man’s nature of seeking and escaping. These days tourism is also looked upon as a means of meeting personal needs and resolving interpersonal problems, and more efficient means of transportation. In the present book an effort has been made to analyse the ways in which tourism is contributing to changes in value systems, individual behaviour, family relationships, ethics and moral conduct, creative expressions, traditional/ceremonies, community organizations as they are in the process of trivialization, revitalization, trinketisation and cocacolisation. Therefore this Book will be very useful for the students of anthropology, sociology and other disciplines, policy makers, planners, researchers, development agents, marketers and other general readers for understanding the inter cultural interconnection between the hosts and the guests. Equal efforts have been made to provide a wealth of information, ideas, knowledge and theories to the readers.
