Appointment of Judges in Higher Judiciary: A Review of Apex Court Decision in Supreme Court Advocates on Record v. Union of India-2015

The author, Dr. Devinder Singh is currently Principal of the Guru Gobind Singh College in Sanghera (Barnala) in Punjab. Born in 1943 at Kalaur village of Patiala District in Punjab, Dr. Devinder Singh has had an extremely active career in academics. An M.A. in Political Science and also in Public Administration, he has successively lectured in the Guru Nanak College at Ferozpur and the Guru Gobind Singh College at Sanghera, of which he has now become Principal. Dr. Singh’s extensive knowledge of the politics of the Punjab is clearly reflected in his work on Akali politics since Operation Bluestar in 1984.
