ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ram Awatar Agnihotri
Dr. Ram Awatar Agnihotri is a young Research Scientist. Just after Ph.D. he did research world on “Cultural Politics: A Study of Perspective Hindi Films†for five years under “Research Associateship Scheme†of University Grants Commission of India. A score of his research papers, articles etc. have been published in different new papers and magazines. He has been, for some time, the editor –publisher of a cinema magazine, “Cine-Glamour†and research journal, “The Political Scientistâ€. He had also contributed “chapters†on “Public Administration†for correspondence course of Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut. Dr. Ram Awatar Agnihotri is absolutely deaf by both ears. Inspite of this physical Lacuna, he is whole heartedly involved in research work. Acknowledging his research work “World Foundation for Deaf Children†Italy, has nominated him as Indian Delegate, and thus honoured the researcher. Dr. Ram Awatar Agnihotri got different scholarship and fellowships in different times. He had been “Junior Research Fellow†and Senior Research Fallow†and “Research Associate†of University Grants Commission, New Delhi. As per University Grants Commission of India’s Annual Report of Year 1996-97, on 31st March 1997 only 113 (One hundred and thirteen only) Research Scientists were working in the pay scales of Lecturer, Reader and Professor for the period of their age of superannuation (sixty years) under the old Pre-Revised scheme 1993 all over India in all subjects of Science, Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Ram Awatar Agnihotri is one of them Research Scientists. Dr. Agnihotri is also an established writer of Hindi Literature. His one biographical Novel “MAHARAJ†(in Hindi) based on biography of his father Late Pandit Shiv Nandan Agnihotri was released by “Akhil Bhartiya Hindi Prakashaak Sangh (All India Hindi Publishers Association), New Delhi†on 12th February 1997 at World Book Fair, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Dr. Ram Awatar Agnihotri is also “Seminar Representative†of “Bhartiya Prakashan Sansthan, New Delhi†(Incorporating Kitab Ghar Prakashan, New Delhi). Dr. Agnihotri is also keen interested in performing arts and contributed his talent as an Artiste, Writer, Producer and Director in various research and educational cum entertainment Video/Tele Films. Now, he is also planning to produce “Text Video Films of Political Science†for B.A. and M.A. students. Without any doubt, Dr. Agnihotri is an “All Round Personality†of our society. Presently he is working as U.G.C. Research Scientist at the Department of Political Science, Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut-250005, India.
