ABOUT THE AUTHOR K. Velayudham

Dr. K. Velayudham, took his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture in 1977 from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore and M.Sc. (Agri) and Ph.D. degrees from India Agricultural research Institute, New Delhi specializing in the field of ecological agriculture and non-conventional crops. He has a brilliant academic career and is the recipient of ICAR Junior research fellowship (1977) IARI, senior research Fellowship (1979) and FAO fellow (1998) and has working experience of more than 20 years in teach9ng academic mentor besides guiding post graduate scholars. He has to his credit more than 50 research publications and a number of manuals. He visited Wageningen University, the Netherlands in 1988 under AHRDP and worked on ecological agriculture. Dr. Belayudham is a recipient of Best teacher award (2000) and Best Extension Scientist award (2004) in recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of agronomic education and transfer of technology. he has been member of editorial board in Indian Journal of Agronomy and Madras Agricultural Journal. Dr. Velayudham is currently working as professor, department of Agronomy, tamil nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR N. Thavaprakaash

Dr. N. Thavaprakaash, born in 1975 in a farming family at Thasariyur of Anthiyur village, Erode District (Tamil Nadu). He graduated from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimatore (Tamil Nadu). He perceived his post graduation in the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (Karnataka), specializing in Agronomy.. he completed his doctoral degree from his parent university,. He is the recipient of junior research Fellowship for pursuing his master degree. He worked on varied aspects such as crop during his Ph.D. degree and gained wide knowledge on botany, production and marketing of baby corn. He is presently working as Teaching Assistant in the department of Agricultural meteorology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He has published 18 research papers in various National and International Journals of repute.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR V.B. Muthukumar

V.B. Muthukumar, is hailed from farming community, received his Bachelor and Master degrees from Tamil Nadu Agricultural university, Coimbatore. He worked on growth regulators and nutrient management aspects of baby corn during his master degree programme. He is the recipient of university merit scholarship during his under graduation. Currently he is do9ng his M.S. degree in Division of Plant Science. The university of Nottingham, Leicestershire, united Kingdom.
