Basavaraj Naikar : Trends and Techniques is a significant contribution to the area of Indian Writing in English. India is essentially a multicultural/multiethnic country. It happens to be a seemingly simple book for an immensely varied geographical, cultural, linguistic and literary space; a personal space reconciles with social space. Intellectual interest on Naikar is not a new phenomenon. This edited anthology of research articles aims at providing an opportunity to teachers, scholars, students and educational administrators to understand the various developments in the concerned field. Basavaraj Naikar has peerless contribution to Indian short story and novel. The present book makes scope for exploring the possibilities of creating a major reliable database on Basavaraj Naikar, a creative writer and a perceptive critic. This book is not definitive; it aims at encouraging readers to explore further and discover the rich heritage that exists in contemporary Indian writers in English with reference to Basavaraj Naikar.
