Born on 1-1-1934 Maithil Brahmana family with a rural and Agricultural background, Sri Bhaweah Horns. Nath Pathak took his Bachelors Hons. and Post-Graduate Degree from the Patna College and Patna University in 1954 and 1956 respectively.With social and cultural works, brief journalistic stints and stray writings he studied astronomy and cosmology with the help of u.s.  Information Library and practiced star gazing.Joined govt. service in 1958. After a few months in Education Deptt. Bihar and then a Transmission Executive in AIR Patna, he finally joined Jail Deptt. Bihar as Probation Officer in April 1959 and retired from service as Principal Probation Officer on 31-12-91.
