Bio-Demographic Study of Kashmiris

This book is one of the very few works which has dealt with Bio-Demographic Comparison of Urban & Semi-Urban populations. So far rural, urban differenciation in Bio-Demographic patterns has been mainly engaging the attentions has been mainly engaging the attention of the Anthropologists. Dr. Kanan K, Sadhu has investigated, as to what extent changes in Socio-Religion Economic Status and physical environment has been able to diversity the Bio-Demographic pattern of the Kashmiri population. Apart from making the comparative study between the two religion based communities-Muslims & Pandits, investigations were also attempted to compare the Bio-Demographic patterns of Urban & Semi Urban Kashmiri Populations of Muslims & Pandits. The author has made a significant contribution by demonstrating effect of maternal constitution on their fertility performance and also relationship of physique of mother and sex ratio of their children among Kashmiri Pandits and Muslims.
