This study of aspects of Buddhism and Christianity undertaken with a comparative approach examines the concept of self, faith and God in the religions. It views their understanding of love and the concept of prayer in Christianity and that of meditation in Buddhism. It describes the parallels in the figures of the Christ and the Buddha and their parables. It discusses the compassion and loving-kindness of Buddhism and the charity and love of Christianity. It also identifies the differences between the two religions such as Christianity being centred on the Christ but Buddhism being centred on the path and not the person and Christianity’s belief in an ultimate creator unlike Buddhism.
